La vinkelist’ laŭ oportun’,	The cellar man taps any cask,	Do jam denove logas min	Der Küfer zieht den Heber vor
li ĝojas, se mi drinkas,	I choose by nod or winking;	La glas' kun rea pleno.	gehorsam meinem Winke
Boneghumore fartas mi -	He fills the glass, he loves his task	Dum plu mi trinkas ankaŭ ĝin,	reicht mir das Glas, ich halt´s empor

Soif’ turmentas, ĉi demon’,	The demon thirst I could withstand,	................................	Mich plagt der Dämon, Durst genannt
