und fand sich plötzlich sehr beklommen,	Litt nun, da der Winter droht',	but found her victuals too few	Kiam frosta vento blovis

"Was triebt ihr denn zur Sommerzeit?"	Fragt die Borgerin: "Was hast	I sang whenever I had the chance.”	"Kion faris vi somere?"
fragt sie die Borgerin von fern.	Du im Sommer denn getrieben?" -	“You sang, did you? That’s nice. Now dance.”	Diris ŝi al pruntulino.
"Da war ich Tag und Nacht besetzt,	"Tag und Nacht hab' ich ergötzt		--"Tage, nokte al venantoj,
ich sang und hatte viel Applaus."	Durch mein Singen alle Leut'."		Ne mallaŭdu -- kantis mi."
"Gesungen habt Ihr? Ei der Daus,	"Durch dein Singen? Sehr erfreut!		--"Kantis? -- gaja jen meti'!

Translation of the French poem "La Cigale et la Fourmi" by Jean de La Fontaine (*1621-07.08 - †1695-04.12) into German by Rolf Mayr. Diese Übersetzung fand ich, Manfred Retzlaff, abgedruckt in der Kirchenzeitung "Kirchen und Leben" des Bistums Münster, in der Ausgabe vom 16 Mai 1999, auf Seite 10. Abgedruckt ist diese Übertragung auch in dem von Prof. Dr. Reinhard Dithmar herausgegebenen dtv-Band "Fabeln, Parabeln und Gleichnisse", auf Seite 146, sowie in dem ebenfalls von Prof. Dr. Reinhard Dithmar herausgegebenen Buch "Fabeln von Aesop bis Arntzen", das 2009 im Verlag "Ludwigsfelder Verlagshaus" erschienen ist.
