malgaj' en la koro naskiĝis;	Tristissimus cur sim,	daß ich so traurig bin;
el tempo jam enterigita	Antiqui aevi fabellam	ein Märchen aus alten Zeiten,
legendo al mi reviviĝis.	Cur saepe volverim.	das kommt mir nicht aus dem Sinn.

Jam malvarmetiĝas l' aero,	Vesperascit et frigescit,	Die Luft ist kühl und es dunkelt,
la Rejno mallaŭte babilas,	Et Rhenus leniter it,	und ruhig fließt der Rhein;
per oro de l'sun' en vespero	Cacumen montis lucescit,	der Gipfel des Berges funkelt
la supro de l' monto rebrilas.	Dum Phoebus occidit.	im Abendsonnenschein.

Plej belan knabinon mi vidas:	Sedet in summo montis	Die schönste Jungfrau sitzet
