Treu und herzinniglich, | What's this dull town to me | Ĉio tedegas min -
Robin Adair, | Robin's not near | forestas li!
tausendmal grüss´ ich dich, | What was't I wish'd to see | Ĉio malplaĉas nun
Robin Adair! | What wish'd to hear | sen simpati'.
Hab´ ich doch manche Nacht | Where all the joy and mirth | Ĝojo kaj feliĉec'
schlummerlos hingebracht, | Made this town heaven on earth | forflugis pro tedec';
immer an dich gedacht, | Oh, they're all fled with thee | ho, mi ploregas nun
Robin Adair! | Robin Adair | sen la karul'.
Dort an dem Klippenhang, | What made th' assembly shine | Ĝaje moviĝis mi
Robin Adair, | Robin Adair | en la dancad';
rief ich oft still und bang: | What made the ball sae fine | kun li koncervesper'
Robin Adair! | Robin was there | estis ĝuad'.
Fort von dem wilden Meer | What when the play was o'er | Sed post la ekforir'
falsch ist es, liebeleer, | What made my heart so sore | regadis min dezir',
macht nur das Herze schwer, | Oh, it was parting with | kaj sopiradis mi
Robin Adair! | Robin Adair | al la karul'.
Mancher wohl warb um mich, | But now thou'rt cold to me | Min, kruelulo , nun
Robin Adair! | Robin Adair | ne amas vi!
Treu aber liebt' ich dich, | But now thou'rt cold to me | Kial forflugis jam
Robin Adair! | Robin Adair | korsimpati'?
Mögen sie andre frei'n | Yet he I loved so well | Lin eĉ en malesper'
will ja nur dir allein | Still in my heart shall dwell | nur amas mi sur ter',
Leben und Liebe weih'n, | Oh, I can ne'er forget | kaj restas kun mizer'
Robin Adair!
