Por nin disigi venas		Adieu! 'tis love's last greeting,
jam lasta la moment'		The parting hour is come!
al paradiz' de ĝojo		And fast thy soul is fleeting
reiru do sen plend'!		To seek its starry home.

Liberon povas milde		Adieu! go thou before me,
donaci ja la mort';		To join the seraph throng!
al nova vivo iru		A secret sense comes o’er me,
kaj al pli bona sort'!		I tarry here not long!

Ne daŭros longe: baldaŭ		Adieu! there come a morrow,
mi ĉe vi estos jam;		To ev’ry day of pain!
mi ĉi malsupre dume		On earth we part in sorrow,
memoros vin kun am'!		To meet in bliss again!
