im abendlichen Schattenreich.		Chí yuè jiàn dōng shàng
Mit zitterndem Geblink entsteht		Sǎn fà chéng xī liáng
das Bild des Mondes auf dem Teich.		Kāi xuān wò xián chǎng
Gelösten Haares liege ich		Hé fēng sòng xiāng qì
auf der Terrasse, und mein Sinn,		Zhú lù dī qīng xiǎng
mein Leben gibt der Stille sich,		Yù qǔ míng qín tán
gibt sich dem kühlen Mondlicht hin.		Hèn wú zhī yīn shǎng
Ein unbestimmtes Wehen streicht,		Gǎn cǐ huái gù rén
nach Steinklee duftend, um das Haus.		Zhōng xiāo láo mèng xiǎng
