1. A Spotless Rose is growing,		Rozbranĉo forĝermadis
Sprung from a tender root,		el trunk' de nobelec'.
Of ancient seers' foreshowing,		Prauloj jam kantadis:
Of Jesse promised fruit;		de Jiŝaj ĝia spec'.
Its fairest bud unfolds to light		Floreton portis ĝi,
Amid the cold, cold winter,		en akra vintro estis,
And in the dark midnight.		Je horo de noktmez'.

2. The Rose which I am singing,		La branĉo anoncita
Whereof Isaiah said,		Jesaja de profet':
Is from its sweet root springing		Maria netuŝita,
In Mary, purest Maid;		de kiu la floret'.
Through God's great love and might		Eterne volis Di':
The Blessed Babe she bare us		naskinta infaneton
In a cold, cold winter's night.		Plej pura restis ŝi.
