Of ancient seers' foreshowing,		Aŭguro de profeto
Of Jesse promised fruit;		rakontis jam pri ĝi.
Its fairest bud unfolds to light		Naskiĝis rozfloret'
Amid the cold, cold winter,		meze en vintra nokto
