translated by N. N. 24   translated by Manfred Retzlaff

Fox, you stole my goosey gander,   Vulpo, vi anser-ŝtelisto,
|: Give him back to me, :|   |: Tuj redonu ĝin, :|
|: Else I'll call the forest ranger   |: Alikaze la ĉasisto :|
Who'll shoot you with glee. :|   Mortpafigos vin.

He has a long and big shot gun   Per la longa ĉaspafilo
|: He'll aim at your head, :|   |: Al vi pafos li :|
|: Down your face, red ink will run   |:Estas tio ruĝigilo:|
And then you will be dead. :|   Morta estos vi.

Dearest fox, let me advise you   Kara vulpo, pli prefere
|: A thief not to be, :|   |: prenu muson vi, :|
|: With a mouse you may make do,   |: Ne vivtenu von ansere, :|
But leave the goose for me. :|   Vin konsilas mi.
