Finfine tamen venis ĝi		Nun ist er endlich kommen doch
Kun verda burĝonar’,		In grünem Knospenschuh;

“Ĝi venis ja en ĉiu jar’.“¹⁾		Die Bäume nicken sich’s zu.

Nun forte ili burĝonas jen,		Sie konnten ihn all erwarten kaum,
Jam longe atendis ĝin;		Nun treiben sie Schuß auf Schuß;
La olda pomarbo en la ĝarden’		Im Garten der alte Apfelbaum,
Obstinas, sed devas je l’ fin’.		Er sträubt sich, aber er muß.

Hezitas la maljuna kor’,		Wohl zögert auch das alte Herz
Ankoraŭ timas kaj		Und atmet noch nicht frei,
Ja scias: „Mart’ ne estas for,		Es bangt und sorgt. „Es ist erst März,
