Theodor Fontane,
Mittag
 
Am Waldessaume träumt die Föhre,
am Himmel weiße Wölkchen nur;
es ist so still, daß ich sie höre,
die tiefe Stille der Natur.
 
Rings Sonnenschein auf Wies’ und Wegen,
die Wipfel stumm, kein Lüftchen wach,
und doch, es klingt, als ström’ ein Regen
leis tönend auf das Blätterdach.
