The view of this version is restricted.   jam venis la vespera hor'.   The darkness falls at Thy behest;
Presumably there are copyright issues.   Kunvenis ni por adorago   To Thee our morning hymns ascended,
    plaĉanta al la Di-Sinjor'   Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.

.
  2. Ni dankas Vin, Savanto nia,   2. We thank Thee that Thy church, unsleeping,
    ke sur la tuta mond-teren'   While earth rolls onward into light,
    la sankta eklezio Via   Through all the world her watch is keeping,
    staradas firme ĉe posten'.   And rests not now by day or night.

    3. Ruliĝas tero, brilas lumo   3. As o’er each continent and island
    de ne-ĉesanta maten-glor'.   The dawn leads on another day,
    Leviĝas laŭdo, preĝ-parfumo   The voice of prayer is never silent,
    konstante, kiel dolĉ-odor'.   Nor dies the strain of praise away.

    4. Ekdormas ni post sun-subiro;   4. The sun that bids us rest is waking
    gefratoj en la okcident'   Our brethren ’neath the western sky,
    vekiĝas kun novtag-aspiro   And hour by hour fresh lips are making
    Vin glori per viv-elokvent'.   Thy wondrous doings heard on high.

    5. Formortos mondaj imperioj,   5. So be it, Lord; Thy throne shall never,
    sed Via regno kreskos plu.   Like earth’s proud empires, pass away:
    Al Vi sin cedos dinastioj,   Thy kingdom stands, and grows forever,
    Venkinto estos vi, Jesu'!   Till all Thy creatures own Thy sway.
