Du offenbarst die Nacht, die dir nicht weicht:		Simbolo estas vi de l' nokta hor',
O wie dir ganz des Glücks Erinn'rung gleicht!		Egalas tute de l' feliĉ' memor'.
So glänzt auch längst vergangner Tage Licht,		Ĉar tute same brilas lumo de
Es scheint, doch wärmt sein schwaches Leuchten nicht.		Pasintaj tagoj, sed varmigas ne.
Der wache Gram sieht eine Luftgestalt,		Ĝin klare enaere vidas mi,
