Aŭdu al stratoj logantaj, migrul',		Hörst Du die Landstraß',
Do, kunvenu nun!		wie sie lockt und ruft.
Migru tra l' mondo, sencela vagul',		Schnür dein Bündel, komm.
Brilas ja la sun'.		Draußen, da weht eine andere Luft,
Aŭdiaŭ belknabin', mi ŝatas vin,		draußen scheint die Sonn'.
Sed ŝoseoj ne redonos min.		Ade, mein liebes Mädel,
		fällt's auch schwer,
		aber die Landstraß' läßt uns nimmermehr.

Venu amiko kun nia migrantar',		Komm meine Fiedel,
Ĉar ni volas for!		wir wandern beide aus,
Turnos nin hejmen sopiro post jar',		in die weite Welt.
Frapos gaja hor'.		Treibt uns nach Jahren
Jam floras buntkolora la natur',		die Sehnsucht nach Haus,
Do ni migru for al grandplezur'!		solang sie und nicht hält.
		Die Landstraß' ruft von weitem
		lockt und ruft,
		komm nur, Gesell',
		hier weht eine andre Luft.

Ĉesu nun plori, hejmlanda knabin',		Mädel ind er Heimat,
Ĉar ni devas for.		weine nicht so sehr,
Ĝoju, ja venos de l' migro la fin',		weil ich wandern muß.
Tremos via kor'.		Äuglein so trübe und Herze so schwer,
Sur vian ĉarman buŝon kun pasi'		Tränen nimmermehr,
Premos kison forironte mi.		küßt dich auf deinen heißen, roten Mund
		vielleicht zum letzten Mal
		dein Vagabund.
