The seer arose a bit unsteady		Auprès de la tombe d’un maître d’école
Yawned twice, wheezed once, and then was ready.		Et lui dit, “ sur moi dis tout, c’est ton rôle ! ”

“Well, ‘Werewolf’ is your plural past,		“ - On peut à ton sujet puisque nous y sommes
While ‘Waswolf’ is singularly cast:		Se demander encor bien des choses en somme.
There’s ‘Amwolf’ too, the present tense,		Loup-garoù ? mais avant
And ‘Iswolf,’ ‘Arewolf’ in this same sense.”		Il faut se dire : loup-garquand ?

“I know that--I’m no mental cripple--		Loup-garcomment ? et puis
The future form and participle		Bien évidemment loup-garqui ? ”

At home, and homewards now he crept,		Rester un loup-garou est un sort qui m’alarme. ”
Happy, humble, without apology		Mais comme le loup était bien poli
