With his beautiful young bride. :\|		Li edziĝis kun princin'.

3. But behind them rose a whisper,		3. Ŝi mallevas la okulojn.
"He has left his sword to woo;		Kvazaŭ inter viv' kaj mort'
\|: One short night, and Stenka Razin		Ŝi aŭskultas en silento
Has become a woman too!" :\|		Al sincera, firma vort'.

4. Stenka Razin hears the jeering		4. Liaj viroj tamen grumblas:
Of his discontented band,		"Post nur unu nokto jam
\|: And the lovely Persian princess		Faris ŝi lin mem virino.
He has circled with his hand. :\|		Li perfidas nin pro am'!"

5. His black brows have come together		5. Tion aŭdas kolerante
As the waves of anger rise,		La kozaka kapitan'.
\|: And the blood comes rushing swiftly		Kaj li kaptas la princinon,
To his piercing, jet-black eyes. :\|		Per la forta, ega man'.

6. "I will give you all you ask for,		6. Fulmas la okuloj duraj,

10. Now a silence like the grave sinks		10. Kaj per ambaŭ fortaj manoj,

Sink to weep on bended knee. :\|		Kaj la ondoj voras ŝin!
