1. Elkreskis rozbranĉeto		1. A Spotless Rose is growing,
el rozarbust' de Di'.		Sprung from a tender root,
Aŭguro de profeto		Of ancient seers' foreshowing,
rakontis jam pri ĝi.		Of Jesse promised fruit;
Naskiĝis rozfloret'		Its fairest bud unfolds to light
meze en vintra nokto		Amid the cold, cold winter,
laŭ diro de profet'.		And in the dark midnight.

2. Ja naskis tiu rozo -		2. The Rose which I am singing,
Jesaj' prognozis ĝin -		Whereof Isaiah said,
el sia korpo sproson		Is from its sweet root springing
Mari' la virgulin'.		In Mary, purest Maid;
Laŭ dipotenca vol'		Through God's great love and might
ŝi naskis Di-infanon		The Blessed Babe she bare us
por tuta mond' konsol'.		In a cold, cold winter's night.
