The parting hour is come!		jam lasta la moment'

To seek its starry home.		reiru do sen plend'!

Adieu! go thou before me,		Liberon povas milde
To join the seraph throng!		donaci ja la mort';
A secret sense comes o’er me,		al nova vivo iru
I tarry here not long!		kaj al pli bona sort'!

Adieu! there come a morrow,		Ne daŭros longe: baldaŭ
To ev’ry day of pain!		mi ĉe vi estos jam;
On earth we part in sorrow,		mi ĉi malsupre dume
