Ho pentrist' aŭtun', restigu		O Maler Herbst, bleibe
vin ankoraŭ tie ĉi!		noch en bißchen hier.
La folion karminigu,		Färbe das Blatt karminrot,
ĝis de l' arbo falas ĝi.		bis es vom Baum fällt.

La penikojn enfarbigu,		Tauche die Pinsel in Farbe,
pentru ĉion per purpur',		bemale alles mit Purpur,
kaj la pomojn vi ruĝigu,		und röte die Äpfel,
estu bunta la natur'!		die Natur sei bunt.

Lasu al la papilioj		Lasse den Schmetterlingen
florojn, lumon oran vi;		Blumen und goldenes Licht;
de sopir' kaj fantazio		Bilder der Sehnsucht und Fantasie
bildojn pentru vi al mi.		male mir.

Se la bildon vi finintas,		Wenn du das Bild vollendet hast,
trinku vian vinon ni.		lasst uns deinen Wein trinken.
Fuĝu, antaŭ ol venintas		Fliehe, bevor gekommen ist
